What is Pre-Vocational Learning Programme (PLP)?
Did you not meet the entry requirements for NC(V) Level 2? The PLP is a one-year foundation course that prepares you for further study at a TVET college. It is aimed at school leavers with Grade 9, 10 or 11 who did not meet the entry criteria for a specific course, and prepares you to follow a vocational learning path with a better chance of completing it.
What you'll learn
- Foundational English: written comprehension and speaking with confidence
- Foundational Mathematics: closing gaps to prepare you for subjects that need pure mathematics
- Foundational Science: basic chemistry and physics that apply to everyday life and prepare you for engineering studies
- Foundational Life Skills: managing your studies and settling into college
Why the PLP?
- Gives you another way into the course of your choice once you pass
- Builds your academic confidence and motivation
- Develops your study skills
- Helps you understand how TVET courses relate to your future career
